Trotman

support Schools Enterprise Challenge

16 May 2008

Trotman is excited to be involved with Startups Awards 2008, an annual awards ceremony to find the most promising and innovative young companies of the future.  This year Startups have added a brand new category to find the most promising school students with the best business idea, and Trotman are proud to be providing prizes for all the finalists in this category.

The Schools Enterprise Challenge category will see one group of 14-16 year old students awarded £1,000 to start their own business. Four finalists will pitch their big business idea to serial entrepreneur and investor David Lester who'll use his business acumen to pick the winner. All finalists will win a high value book prize for their schools courtesy of Trotman Publishing.

The Startups Awards is your schools chance to shine.  Now in its fifth year, this scheme is known for recognising the UK's most promising and innovative young companies likely to be the great successes of tomorrow.

With 17 categories, there are now more reasons then ever to be associated with the leading award scheme for start-ups:

  • Meet targets delivering enterprise education
  • Raise your pupils aspirations and develop valuable work skills
  • Make links with businesses and create working partnerships
  • Achieve recognition for your school

If your school meets all the entry criteria and is inspiring students to make their business ideas happen, then visit http://www.startupsawards.co.uk/award_categories.htm and request more information today.
